Weekend shenanigans

The weekend as always went by in a flash. Always seems to go too fast at the moment. Friday I went to a friend's birthday party. She is gay and so it meant myself and my friend and four other people were the only straight people out of about sixty. Initially we were trying to use our gaydars to work out who was and wasnt and then we found out everyone was. So definitely not a night out on the pull then! Had a good time talking to peeps and of course we kept everyone guessing whether me and my bud were gay. What else can you do, eh?

Saturday was a really good relaxing day for me. Did the shopping, cleaned the flat, went and watched a film. Just a nice day to myself doing what I wanted to do. Dont seem to get these days that often so I relished it.

Saturday night was another friends birthday and we went to a right tourist trap in Covent Garden. You know the type, lots of tourists, flashing neon lights and bar stewards who think they are Tom Cruise in cocktail. Cheesy as hell. They even had a cover band churning out rock tracks. Nice. So we did what needed to be done - geeked off and danced like twats. I had a 40 year old norwegian woman who latched onto me for the night. After feeling the fear, I found out she was married and hadnt got the wrong idea, so after that I relaxed and had a laugh with her. Even so my friends still spent a lot of time on Sunday calling me Granny Fucker even though nothing happened. Gits.

We of course watched the footie on Sunday. England played the best they have so far but were still shite. The pub was awesome as always. When Beckham scored the pub went apeshite, and all you could you see was a blanket of beer flying through the air! There was a constant flow of football chants which was great especially the "I'm the right side, the right side of the pitch" and the other side of the pub responding accordingly. The Portugal/Holland match was amazing - three red cards. Deco was sent of which is great for England and the whiny little maggot Ronaldo went of in tears. Bloody cry baby - we of course pissed ourselves every time they focused the camera on him. I can honestly say he is the player I despise the most in the premiership. So the quaters look good for England with Deco out, but Germay or Argentina in the semi's? Not a chance.

Good to see that this morning was horrible and peeing down, perfect start to a working week!
