Catalan fever Pt2

Saturday came around and we went to the Output Records party. The party was held on the rooftop pool at the Hotel Diagonal, which is a very new high concept design building, all clean lines and hidden coloured lights - the kind of hotel I will probably never be able to afford. The white sections that you can see are protruding from the main building so that at the sides there are windows and you can look right down. The hotel was next to the Agbar Tower, which is Barcelona's version of the Gherkin.

As you can see the tower glows up red, blue and green at night. It is literally right next to the hotel so not only do you have the whole of Barcelona to look at from the roof top, you have the soft glow of the tower in the background as well. Danced all day with the crew and then watched the sun go down. It amazed me that so many people didn't even notice the sun setting. All of our lot ran to the other side of the roof top to watch it go down together. A really nice moment. Absolutely beautiful.

As can often happen with these kind of parties a lot of people just stood around looking cool, being too trendy to dance. As good Essex boys it was our duty to jump up and dance away. We left the party at about 1:30 and went over to Razzamatazz. It was an indie night so DF drank a lot and we geeked of for a while. DF was so wrecked he could barely stand and I had to literally carry him back to the hotel. He was so hungover the next day we barely made it to the flight! Back to blighty and the rest of the world cup.
